Bergschön Mainz Zum Kirschgarten in Mainz

Freshly cooked / fried food. Bright and friendly atmosphere. Nice service. Everything should be, for a great restaurant visit. Of course it tasted and therefore unrestricted recommendation. ?

We built a house in the new development area next door and we were happy to stop at Bergschön during the construction phase. I love the burgers and sweet potato fries !! The menu could be a bit more extensive, but that was probably also due to the Corona time. I very much hope that the Bergschön will survive the new corona closure and I am already looking forward to cozy hours on the beautiful outdoor terrace!

You just have to go there. Very nice staff, food is great! Very nice ambience .... it's best to find an appointment and get an idea for yourself.

We were there to have a coffee ... The card and the person registration came immediately ... we then left after 10 minutes without having done anything. The plates around us (there was not much going on) looked nice though

The local is really easy to get to! The convenient transport connections make a visit easy to do, and the wait staff is extremely personable and very courteous every time. This gives me and my husband a lot of joy every time they visit. For my part, I can say that nothing has frustrated us yet! Every time the place was a taste explosion in my mouth, I haven't been so fascinated by a place in a long time.

The food was good, unfortunately there were only 2 vegetarian dishes on the menu. We would have liked more choice. The menu on the homepage is NOT identical to that in the restaurant! The service is nice and friendly.

Great food. We were lucky enough to get a table without a reservation. With a larger group, however, you have little chance. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 card is a bit thinned out, but still very good. We'll be back and that's not a threat ??

Nice place, good location in the wonderful old town. The food was unfortunately disappointing for me, but others in our group were satisfied. It's all a matter of taste .... For a bargain but definitely recommendable ... you sit really super comfortable outside .....

This has been the most delicious German meal we’ve had since we arrived in Germany. The vibe was super friendly and the staff was truly nice and welcoming. Everything felt super homey. Can’t wait to eat here again!

The ambience is great. The food was ok. I had a steak and there wasn't even a steak knife. My knife was simply completely unsuitable for this. Otherwise, the waiting times were relatively long.

Would definitely recommend for a lunch, dinner and also a snack in the evening!

Service staff was super friendly, maybe everything was too quick to serve, eat wine everything happened too quickly ... otherwise food was really tasty ... price ... well it's all high quality ... and anything but boring .. Prices are justified ... the wine is really expensive by Mainz standards ... either way it's worth a visit

Very nice ambience, very friendly and eager staff who obviously likes his job and super delicious food. We were there twice during a 2-day Mainz stay twice. In the afternoon for coffee we had an extremely good apple pie and the next evening a great dinner. Conclusion: Thumbs up and absolutely recommendable. Thanks a lot!

Friendly service. Delicious drinks. Nice place. We had sweet potato fries. Delicious! Buckwheat cottage cheese Taler: Great. Fried black pudding with mashed potatoes: taste explosion! We will be back.

We were with Luups for the first time, great service and good food ... had been there for the second time!

Finally a vegetarian in a "normal" restaurant eaten, which was right, really delicious. My friend had fish - very good too. The map is clear, but that's often a good sign, the three vegetarian dishes on it are sensationally good! Very fresh cuisine with a special twist! Especially delicious is the salad dressing. The wines and other beverage selection are also good (Büble beer) and pleasant. The Schwarzriesling is recommended. The staff is friendly and attentive. I'd like to come back - a good substitute for the former Dr. Fleet.

Super friendly service , instagrammable cafe and they have good Sacher torte ! The lemon cake is bit too sour but the carrot cake is simply delicious.

Were for the first time in the "new Bergschön" in the old town. Absolutely great! Friendly staff and delicious food (the flank steak was from the daily menu, or the recommendations). Compared to the Bergschön am Lerchenberg, that due to the renovation work on the community center no longer exists, the interior design is a bit more comfortable and not so open. The children's play area is a bit smaller, but still sufficient. We'll be back!
